Re-Dedication Reflections
A Parishioner's reflections after our Re-Dedication Service...
written by Faith Myers (pictured below)
SALVATION IS OUR FREE GIFT
IT IS OUR GIFT
THAT WE ACCEPT BY FAITH OR WE REJECT IN IGNORANCE; ONE GIFT THAT SOME PEOPLE
ACCEPT BUT HAVE NEVER OPENED.
EVEN WHEN WE OPEN
THE GIFT SOME OF US SOMETIMES FORGET TO READ THE MANUAL AND TO SEND IN THE
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY.
WHEN WE HAVE
DOUBTS ABOUT OR PROBLEMS WITH OUR GIFT, WE SHOULD REMEMBER TO ASK THE GIVER OF
THE GIFT TO SEND THE INSTRUCTOR (the Holy Spirit) TO TEACH US ABOUT THE GIFT.
WE ALSO FORGET
THAT MANY PEOPLE AMONG US MAY UNDERSTAND THE GIFT A LITTLE BETTER THAN WE DO AND
IT IS "OK" TO ASK THEM HOW THEIR GIFT IS WORKING FOR THEM.
THE GIFT COMES
WITH A SPIRIT-FILLED SHEPHERD WHO IS AVAILABLE TO US FOR OUR GUIDANCE.
THE QUESTION IS;
ARE WE WILLING TO USE OUR OPENED GIFT AND AS A CHURCH, BY FAITH, TO GO ON THE
MOST EXCITING JOURNEY OR OUR LIFE AS WE SHARE OUR GIFT WITH OTHERS?
