Outreach

"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you' And the king will answer them, 'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." Matthew 25:37-40

Our mission is to build on the Christian mission of Anglican Church of the Word, doing God's work in the world, reaching out to our neighbors-those nearby, as well as those in distant lands. We do this by focusing on our human and financial resources.

As always Outreach is not just about what we do, it's about who we are. Through out the year, Anglican Church of the Word has supported many outreach programs, not only money donations but also by being actively participating. We also have been blessed with John Shivey who followed God's calling and became a missionary and is teaching in Peru. Some of the outreach programs that we have participated in are:

Prayer and a Hot Dog (photos below), St. Boniface Food Pantry, Veterans’ Nursing home, Food for the Homeless, etc. These are only to name a few. Other ministries within the church that are open for expansion and would welcome your interest and participation are listed below.
