Notices of Interest

In addition to the regular services listed and the Upcoming Events, the following items should be noted by the Parish:

Testimonies - On behalf of the Vestry, Warren Brown, our Senior Warden at that time, pointed out the Vision of ACOW, as described on the front page of our weekly program and on the Home Page of this website, saying that this was to be ACOW's focus.

With that in mind, everybody is invited to write their own personal story of becoming a Christian, meeting Jesus, "testing positive for Christ" to quote a friend of the parish, Fr. Cox.  We have several stories plus a reflection displayed now, but there is plenty of room for many more.

Please click on the Testimonies link here or above and enjoy reading about God's great works in all these lives.  Then, search your heart and if you are so inclined, submit your own story to Carroll Moss-Solomon for publication on this website.  You may ask us to include your name or not, as you feel comfortable.  Please share your story with us all.

Resident Prayer Warriors needed

We will be “out front” (somewhere) once a month. If you’d like to join this vibrant new opportunity to minister see Fr. Cass or Rev. Flo.

Vestry Reports - Copies of the “Vestry Minutes” are available each Sunday in the Church Narthex.  Our Vestry minutes will also be sent via e-mail to all who have e-mail addresses of record.  If your e-mail is not on the Parish Directory please give it to Rev. Flo Taber-Brown for inclusion.

Our “Long-Range Committee” will continue to meet to look at where we will be (physically, spiritually and evangelistically) in the years ahead.  If you would like to serve on this committee please see either the Sr. or Jr. Warden.

Music Ministry - We have an addition to our Music program - Brent Swanson (who was a worship leader for 8 years in Maryland before moving to S. Florida - along with his wife Wendy and baby, Sebastian).  Brent plays piano, keyboard, and guitar.  We are looking at recruiting a couple of other musicians as well.  The music is now "live" rather than recorded.  It has been a true blessing.

Mission Fields - As most of you know, our Missionary, John Shivy, is teaching and working with youth overseas.  (see additional information on News & Blogs. I encourage you to read John’s blog about his work and life. His address is http://johnrshivy.blogspot.com/

Hopefully we will be able to raise some monies to send to John for his work.  If you would like to contribute, please make a check out to the church but mark “John Shivey” on the check in the memo section.

Most importantly, please pray for John, his safety, his students and the difficult and dangerous conditions in this far-off land.

Bulletin Announcements -If you have an announcement or something to share and wish to put it into the bulletin, please receive approval from Fr. Cass and email to seminoles83@msn.comand type "bulletin" in the subject space. Or fax to 954-915-8977 or 954-476-8194 no later than Tuesday.  Please do not call and leave messages, only email and faxed requests will be printed. If you do not receive confirmation of email or fax by Thursday, please refax or email your request. Thank you.
